David Weild IV, Founder and Chairman David is the founder of Capital Markets Advisory Partners. He was formerly Vice Chairman of The NASDAQ Stock Market in charge of the Corporate Client Division with line responsibility for NASDAQ's 4,000 listed companies. David was behind NASDAQ's Market Intelligence DeskSM, Corporate Services NetworkSM, Dual Listings and Research Initiatives. Prior to NASDAQ, David spent 14 years at Prudential Securities in a number of senior management roles, including President of eCommerce, Head of Corporate Finance, Head of Technology Investment Banking and Head of Equity Capital Markets in New York, London and Tokyo. He worked on over 500 IPO's, Follow-on offerings and convertible transactions and was an innovator of new issue systems and securities underwriting structures, including the use of Form S-3's to mitigate risk for small capitalization companies raising equity and convertible debt capital. David holds an MBA from the Stern School of Business and a BA from Wesleyan University. He has studied on exchange at The Sorbonne, Ecole des Haute Etudes Commerciales and The Stockholm School of Economics. David is a member of The Economic Club of New York and a member and former Treasurer of The Bond Club of New York. He serves on the board of Tuesday's Children, a charity providing support to children who lost parents on September 11. He currently holds FINRA Series 7, Series 24, and Series 63 licenses. Edward H. Kim, Managing Director Edward has 20 years of capital markets, finance, product development, and operations experience in both established and entrepreneurial environments. Prior to helping form Capital Markets Advisory Partners, he was Managing Director of Financial Communications at Stern and Company, a strategic communications and public relations firm. Previously, Edward was Senior Vice President at The NASDAQ Stock Market with responsibility for developing new products and services for NASDAQ's Corporate Client Group. Prior to NASDAQ, he was Chief Administrative Officer of a publicly held internet software company. Edward has worked in investment banking, equity and equity-linked trading, salestrading, research and equity capital markets at firms including Lehman Brothers, Prudential Securities, and Robertson Stephens, in the financial centers of New York, San Francisco, London and Tokyo. Edward has a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds a FINRA Series 7 license. He serves on the board of directors of Alternative Motors, a privately-held company providing vehicle and financing solutions to credit-challenged consumers. Christopher Linn, Managing Director Christopher joined Capital Markets Advisory Partners in 2009 and focuses on venture-backed companies seeking a public market exit. He has over seven years of senior management experience in both large corporate environments and as a founder/executive of four exited start-up companies. Previously, Christopher worked with InsideVenture, a company backed by New Enterprise Associates (NEA), a leading global venture capital firm. At InsideVenture, he managed public investor outreach, identifying long-term, fundamentally oriented, low-turnover institutions. Christopher brings a network of over 200 portfolio managers who are actively seeking venture-backed corporate introductions, and who have established track records as long-term investors on initial public offerings. He also has previous senior management experience with Time in various capacities, including media production, marketing and sales. Christopher holds a BA from Columbia University and an MA from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Jonathan Burklund, Managing Director Jonathan is a seasoned corporate professional with over 20 years of experience as a healthcare investment banker at firms including Stanford Group, Lehman Brothers, Prudential Securities and River Capital Partners. He has completed over 80 transactions including private placements, IPOs, follow-on offerings, mergers, acquisitions and restructurings, most of which were in the healthcare industry. Jonathan graduated with distinction from the Chase Manhattan Credit Training Program and taught the program for a year. He holds dual degrees with honors in Finance and Management from Northeastern University. Jonathan holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses. Andrea McCormick, Vice President and Senior Economic Advisor Andrea has extensive execution experience across a spectrum of corporate transactions, including mergers, leveraged buyouts and other acquisitions, private placements, PIPEs, convertibles and IPOs. Her focus has been on health care companies as an investment banker at JP Morgan and Stanford Group. Andrea also spent three years at Nortel Networks in customer and new product engineering roles. She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Waterloo, and a B.Ed. from the University of Western Ontario. Andrea holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses. Rick Hanley, Senior Advisor Rick is Chairman and CEO of Hanley & Associates, a leading provider of management access events such as non-deal roadshows. He has 22 years of institutional equities experience, having spent time in equities research on both the buy side and sell side, over eight years as an equity salesman covering Midwest institutions, and five years in management of equity research, sales and capital markets functions in New York. Prior to forming Hanley & Associates, Rick was a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank Securities, directing the firm's North American Corporate Marketing Group. Rick has an MBA in Finance from Indiana University. He has been a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) since 2003 and maintains FINRA Series 7, 9, 10 and 63 licenses. Amy Salomone, Senior Advisor Amy is a partner with Hanley & Associates with 10 years of capital markets experience, including nine years in institutional equity sales. She covers institutions in the Midwest, South and New York areas, and is also responsible for relationship management within the Energy, Technology and Financial Services sectors. Amy was formerly a Vice President of Institutional Equity Sales at Prudential Equity Group covering the Midwest and Canadian markets. She holds a BS in Finance from John Carroll University and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses. Amy has been a member of NIRI since 2007 and is a member of the NIRI Cleveland Chapter Board. Edward Tedeschi, Senior Advisor Edward is the founder and chairman of HC Associates, a financial consulting firm providing operational, accounting, technology and financing support to hedge funds, asset managers, funds of funds, family offices and other institutional investors. He has 30 years of experience in asset management, alternative investments, finance, trading, operations and administration. Edward was formerly a Senior Vice President at Lehman Brothers, heading the western region for Prime Brokerage and Equity Finance. He has been Chief Operating Officer of Genesis Merchant Group and a Vice President at Morgan Stanley. Edward began his career at Goldman Sachs in 1979. He holds FINRA Series 4, 7, 8, 24 and 63 licenses. Carl Versella, Senior Advisor Carl is Chief Operating Officer of HC Associates, with over 26 years of professional experience in finance, operations and consulting, and close to 20 years in the hedge fund and prime brokerage industries. He was a Director at Credit Suisse First Boston for over five years, advising and consulting for hedge funds, and was instrumental in the development of sales, marketing and technology infrastructure for CSFB's Prime Services unit. Carl spent over six years at Tiger Management, where he developed their operating infrastructure, management of financing, liquidity and leverage of funds, and streamlined controls and procedures throughout the organization. He spent over 10 years at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs in various groups supporting hedge funds and alternative managers. He holds FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses. |
